Lehigh Township

Tucked along Northampton County and is truly a wonderful balance of feeling like youā€™re worlds away.

Welcome to Lehigh Township

Lehigh Township is where it's at if you're looking for a slice of tranquil Pennsylvania charm. The word ‘countryside’ comes to mind where backyard bonfires and cookouts are quite common. The area spans about 30 miles of authentic rural living tucked along the western border of Northampton County and is truly a wonderful balance of feeling like you’re worlds away yet in reality, very accessible to not only the entire Lehigh Valley but also the Pocono areas as well.

Lehigh Township’s Real Estate Landscape

Surrounded by the Borough of Walnutport (where I grew up) to the west, Moore Township to the east, Lower Towamensing Township to the north, and Allen and North Whitehall Townships to the south, Lehigh Township has been growing in development over the last few years without compromising its peaceful feel. There are charming farmhouses dripping with history in Cherryville and Danielsville, opportunities to put your spin on existing single-family homes commonly on 1-acre lots, or even dig in, literally! and secure a lot to build your dream home. All of these options are dotted throughout this quiet area and each little pocket brings its own unique character to this quintessential PA landscape.

The Lifestyle

Lehigh Township is quiet. If getting away from the rat race to reconnect with nature resonates with you, Lehigh Township is a place to consider. Take a hike, cast a line, or pitch a tent surrounded by fields and rolling hills straight out of a Bob Ross painting.

It’s about neighbors getting together, heading to baseball and soccer games with the kids, and gathering with friends grilling out back. The change of seasons is an absolute joy to experience here and sets the cadence of activities and traditions for residents each and every year.

Some Favorite Places Worth Checking Out

For those looking to score some vintage finds, head over to The Slatington Marketplace, for their rotating inventory of countless antique treasures (and reasonable prices!). And while you’re there, sign up for a weekly CSA fruit & veggie box through Bleilers Produce Patch right next door at the Slatington Farmers Market. There’s also family-fun horseback riding at Whispering Springs Farm and on weekends, hang out at Soaked Winery, a quaint little tasting room housed in a cool 1837 German-style stone bank barn. And of course, there’s skiing at Blue Mountain. Right up the road!
