Monmouth County

A coastal gem offering the perfect blend of small-town charm and easy access to NYC.

Welcome to Monmouth County

Welcome to Monmouth County, a coastal gem nestled along the Jersey Shore, offering the perfect blend of small-town charm and easy access to NYC. Stretching from the Sandy Hook peninsula at the northern tip of the county to the Manasquan Inlet in the south, this diverse county boasts over 50 miles of stunning Atlantic coastline.

Monmouth County's Real Estate Landscape

From the charming beach bungalows in Point Pleasant, Victorian architecture in the hot spot of Red Bank, beachfront properties in Sea Girt and Spring Lake, and the upscale NYC commuter hub of Rumson, Monmouth County offers a diverse range of housing options to suit every taste and budget. Whether you're looking for a cozy starter home in Middletown, a spacious family residence in Holmdel, or a modern condo in Long Branch, you'll find your dream home (or second home) here.

The Lifestyle

Monmouth County’s combination of coastal beauty, friendly small-town atmosphere, and easy NYC access makes it an ideal place to call home for everyone from young professionals to growing families and retirees.

Stick your toes in the sand at one of the area’s serene beaches, explore the many locally-owned retail shops, grab a bite at one of the delish mom-and-pop restaurants, or make it a day to take in the horse racing at Monmouth Park in Oceanport. For the outdoorsy types, the options are endless – from hiking in Hartshorne Woods Park to kayaking on the Navesink River. And don't miss the happening arts and restaurant scene in Red Bank!

Monmouth County has unparalleled convenience. There’s a train service connecting towns like Aberdeen-Matawan, Red Bank, and Long Branch directly to NYC’s Penn Station, with a commute time of just over an hour. Alternatively, high-speed ferries from Atlantic Highlands and Belford whisk commuters to Manhattan in about 40 minutes, offering breathtaking views of the New York skyline along the way.

Some Favorite Places Worth Checking Out

Monmouth County is a diverse food lover's paradise. Try BYOB favorite Belford Bistro, the uniquely delicious Lita in Aberdeen, and lobster rolls at Point Lobster. I always make it a point to stop in at Joe Leone’s also in Point Pleasant, to grab some yummy Italian specialties to-go to for lunch on the beach.

Arts thrive here, too. Red Bank has become a cultural hub. Catch a show at the historic Count Basie Theater or explore the Monmouth Museum in Lincroft, the latter a big hit with kids. And keep an eye out on concert tickets for big-ticket acts at the PNC Arts Center.

As a compliment to the chill coastal vibes, Monmouth County has lots of options for wellness and relaxation. Practice your downward dog at Monmouth Yoga or find your Zen (and sweat!) at Synergy Hot Yoga in Tinton Falls. Sunday's favorite is a pool-side cabana at The Asbury (via the Resort Pass app).

From the bustling boardwalks of Long Branch to the interesting and serene Historic Village at Allaire State Park, Monmouth County offers a lifestyle that's hard to beat. It’s no wonder why so many have chosen to call this wonderful corner of New Jersey home!
